Jon Halper is the owner and CEO of Top Ten Liquors, Minnesota’s favorite locally owned liquor stores. Jon is passionate about growing his business in a socially conscious manner, putting employees and customers above everything else.

As a graduate of University of California San Diego and Boston University School of Law, Jon has over 30 years of experience in various industries. He practiced law in New York and Minneapolis before working in real estate, store operations, and merchandising at major companies including Target and Wilson’s Leather.

Jon purchased Top Ten Liquors in 2013 and has since grown the business to operate thirteen locations and employ 250 people, all while focusing on critical issues like paying fair wages, emphasizing DEI, elevating leaders from underrepresented backgrounds, and supporting legislation that enlivens the local craft beverage scene. Building on a reputation for industry-leading innovation, Top Ten Liquors opened wine bar and boutique grocery concept Wineside in Minnetonka last year.
